How long have you been painting?
I have been painting for more than 30 years
Where do you live and what area do you cover?
I live in Potomac, MD and I cover the Washington DC metropolitan area
Do you charge a consulting fee or charge for estimates?
I do not charge for consulting. A simple drawing sketch will be supplied with your quote at no cost. If you want a more detailed color sketch it will have an additional cost.
How long does it take from start to finish?
First, it depends on our personal schedules, then the timing has to do with the complexity of the work.
What is your schedule and roughly when can you start?
I usually do not work during the weekends or nights, but I can accommodate my time to your schedule. I prefer to start working very early in the morning to get the most from natural light.
What kind of paint do you use, and is it toxic?
I always use the higher quality latex non toxic paints for backgrounds and also the best acrylic paints for my characters, landscapes and details, they not only guarantee my work, but they also allow me to get an incredible amount of shades and vibrancy in the final work.
Do I need to prepare the wall before you start painting?
You can cut costs having the wall prepared for me. If the wall needs to be fix,if it is wet, scratched, with holes, old paint, etc. I will charge you a higher rate to prepare the wall. You can hire a regular painter to do this wall for you, but it has to be done in a very professional way, because that is the “canvas” where I will paint the mural.
What surfaces can you paint on?
I can paint over plywood, concrete, wood, canvas and wall paper. If you have a different surface, we can discuss about it.
How much does a mural Cost?
Mural prices vary depending on their complexity and dimensions. A mural will be design based in your desires and descriptions, whether via e-mail, phone or home visit. The quote will cover the dimensions, subject, style and special requests.
Do you take credit cards?
Not at this time, but gladly accept checks.
How long will the painting last?
A good quality mural can last for ever, you have heard from murals painted during the renaissance, the middle ages and even before that in Rome. Cave paintings are murals that have lasted for thousands of years.
So probably, your mural is going to be there when your child has outgrown it, or when you sell your house.
What if the mural is damaged?
If something happens to your mural due to my neglect, I can repair it at a no cost. If it is due to accidental damage or your neglect, I can quote you how much it will cost to repair it.
Do you do Murals for businesses?
Yes I do. I can work for schools, children stores and medical or dental offices.
Can you paint these murals on to material for shipping abroad?
Yes, the mural can be painted in canvas or wall paper to be shipped out of town.
