How can I choose a theme for my baby’s mural?

Choosing the theme for a baby’s nursery is not an easy choice, but there are some very important points than can help you make this decision easier.
Is your baby a boy or a girl?
There are some themes and colors that have been associated with sex. Pink, flowers, butterflies are girls’ themes. Blue, green, sports and cars with boys.
There are also some “neutral themes”: the jungle, castles, the beach and the sea.
Are you planning to use this nursery for another baby in the future?
This is a tough question, because planning ahead a few years, sometimes is not that easy. But it can help you a lot to choose the whole theme of the room if you know you will move your older child to a new room when a new baby arrives.
How long are you planning to live in your present house?
If this is a temporary house you should try to do a simple design or paint in a canvas that you can move.
How do you plan to use the same design?
If you live in your “forever” house, but still you think you just want to use it just for a couple of years, you can have a babyish theme painted and then redo the decor according with your toddler or child favorite theme.
